Rapid Deployment of Amateur Radio (RaDAR)
RaDAR also allows one to hone their portable and emergency operating skills while having some on the air fun from multiple locations.
RaDAR holds official events on the first Saturday of April, July, and November every year.
KM4ACK has a YouTube video discussing his participation in RaDAR during 2021 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkaYPqzYYoc
I participate in RaDAR as it is an opportunity to operate radios from the field, with the added challenge of moving between locations. While RaDAR has just three 'official' events per year, a RaDAR event can be conducted at any time you want to practice your skills and enjoy a day (4 hours) of operating your radios from the field.
